Have you heard of The Springman? At one point this legendary character was more popular than Jack the Ripper. Also called Spring-Heeled Jack, this urban legend was sometimes a villan, sometimes a ghost and sometimes a super hero. It all depended on what country, the story was being told. Our guest, Dr. Petr Janacek, is a folklorist who has been chasing this folklore as it evolved all around the world, from its origin in London, to Russia, to Czech, to Nazi Germany.
