First of all! Thank you! Thank you for agreeing to be on the show! We really appreciate you taking time to share your knowledge with us. We are grateful to you.
Let’s connect on social media!
Equipment
We do our interviews using a video recording studio called StreamYard. Here are their detailed instructions.
What you’ll need:
1) Internet (best on a laptop or desktop but you can use a phone too)
2) A drink, this can be thursty work!
Optional but preferable
1) Headphones and/or earbuds – It helps prevent feedback
2) Microphone – If you have one.
Things to Consider
Lighting:
We’d like to see your face, so good lighting in the room is helpful.
Noise
The microphone picks up a lot of background noise such as papers ruffling, and loud jewelry that jangles. The quieter the room, the more the microphone can focus on your voice and your words.
Other Distractions
Please try to remember to turn off apps on your device before we record
Remove pets from the room, remember cats can be real divas and wil certainly want the limelight.
Things to send in advance
Anything for your bio that is not readily available on your site that you would like me to mention at the start of the show.
Links on where listeners can find you, and that you anticipate talking about.
Headshot or a picture for our audiograms and promotional material
How to Prepare for a Conversation on the Podcast
Most likely, we have discussed the main topic already if you are scheduled. Please send any articles on the topic that I can research beforehand so our conversation can be prepared.
We generally send a link to the virtual room 15-30 minutes before the conversation is set to start. You can enter when you are ready.
After the Conversation
Very Important
At the end of the interview we need an extra 5-10 minutes for all the files to upload as they are recorded as temporary files on each persons computer, this is to ensure the very best possible recording. It means if there is happens to be a poor internet connection it won’t affect the recording.
