Ep 11: Sicilian Folk Musician Michela Musolino
Loading
/

Have you heard Sicilian folk music? If not, you should. Our guest today, Michela Musolino is an all around talented musician. Her passionate music is rooted in Sicily, from which much of her family immigrated. Although born in America, her Sicilian family life celebrated their family traditions with food, storytelling and music. Within her performances, Michela weaves family, folklore, history and storytelling within the live concerts. Originally she felt her audience might not want to hear so much talking in between songs, but that the addition of cultural stories helped to make the audience feel more connected to her music.
