Did you know the Mahabharata is the longest epic poem ever written? At 100,000 verses, it is about 10 times the length of Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey combined. The Bhagavad Gita, a section of the epic, is considered one of the most important Hindu scriptures. Our guest, Parag Shan is an author on the Mahabharata, left the IT world after feeling disconnected from what was important. He began traveling to reconnect with his roots, his country and himself, and began to build his work around studying his ancestors and writing about the ancient Indian epic- The Mahabharata. He hopes to continue writing books as he travels to ancient places in India.
